CII, Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest attended the Interactive Session with the Indian Heads of Missions to Latin America & Caribbean Region, held on 2nd July, 2018 at the hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest introducing Muez Hest to H.E. Mr V. Mahalingam, High Commissioner of India to Guyana. Mr Mahalingam suggested that there is a scope for value addition in Rice processing in Guyana and Muez Hest could explore possibilities of setting up Rice Bran Oil based projects in Guyana. H.E. Mr Mahalingam agreed to extend all support and cooperation from the Embassy of India in Guyana and help us in arranging meetings with the prospective customers.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest met H.E. Mr R Vishwanathan, former Ambassador of India to Argentina, Uruguay & Paraguay is considered to be the specialist in Latin America market, having vast knowledge & rich experience of over two decades. H.E. Mr R. Vishwanathan suggested that it could be the right time to enter Latin American market and we should explore business opportunities in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico & Columbia to start with. Mr Rajiv Arora, who is known to H.E. Mr R Vishwanathan for over two decades, suggested to him for a detailed meeting with Mr Javed Husain, Managing Director, Muez Hest during his next visit to Delhi to learn more about the market dynamics and H.E. Mr Vishwanathan agreed to provide all support and cooperation.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest met & introduced Muez Hest to H.E. Mr Sanjiv Ranjan, Ambassador of India to Argentina. Excellency Sanjiv Ranjan was very pleased to learn that Muez Hest has already executed project in Argentina which is running successfully. As a matter of fact, he would on his return to Argentina would certainly arrange to connect us to various other companies in Argentina.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest in interaction with Mr Partha Satpathy, Joint Secretary (LAC), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and Mr Sreekumar Nair, Senior Director – International, CII. Mr Partha Satpathy was informed by Mr Rajiv Arora that the foundation of success of Muez Hest has been the constant research & development undertaken, as an ongoing process in the in house R&D Centre, which is equipped with the Pilot Plant. Mr Rajiv Arora suggested Mr Partha Satpathy that the delegation should be led by External Affairs Ministry & Commerce Ministry under Focus LAC, which would help connect the respective industry representatives with their counterparts. Mr Partha Satpathy informed that a India LAC Conclave is being organized from 1st to 2nd October, 2018 in Santiago, Chile. CII will be partnering with the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) & Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) – Government of India, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America (UN ECLAC), among other influential institutions and MoU partners. A Senior Minister from the Government of India would be leading the Indian delegation. The Conclave will be multi sectoral event with focus on sectors including services, pharmaceuticals, start-ups, automotive, chemicals, agro-industry, and power and renewable energy, among others. The Conclave will have participation from Government and Business delegations from all the LAC countries and will provide a platform for businesses from India and the LAC Region to interact, engage and forge partnerships.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest introduced Muez Hest to H.E. Mr M Subbarayudu, Ambassador of India to Peru & Bolivia as a leading technology providers and plant & machinery suppliers in the Edible Oils & Oleochemicals sector having executed over 270 projects in 17 countries. Mr Rajiv Arora also informed Excellency Subbarayudu that Muez Hest has successfully executed two projects in Peru and would seek support from the Embassy of India in Peru to provide the list of companies which are in this field so that the communication links could be established and channels opened up for discussions. Ambassador Subbarayudu was very prompt & said that the steps shall be initiated from his office immediately on his return to Lima.
Mr Rajiv Arora, Executive Vice President, Muez Hest met H.E. Mr H.E. Mr Muktesh K Pardeshi, Ambassador of India to Mexico and High Commissioner to Belize. and introduced Muez Hest to him as an R&D driven project engineering company headed by Mr Javed Husain, Managing Director & Cofounder, which has successfully commissioned over 270 projects in 17 countries besides India. Ambassador Muktesh complimented Muez Hest for the remarkable journey of 23 years & mentioned that there could certainly be scope for projects in Mexico. In fact, during the Interactive Session, a jointly prepared publication by PwC Mexico & Embassy of India – ProMexico titled “Doing Business in Mexico : A guide for Indian Investors” was launched by H.E. Mr Muktesh K Pardeshi & Mr Partha Satpathy, Joint Secretary (LAC), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. In addition, Mr Rajiv Arora also met H.E. Ms Anita Nayar, Ambassador of India to Chile, H.E. Mr Sajeev Babu Kurup, Ambassador of India to Guatamala, El Salvador & Honduras, besides, H.E. Mr Rajiv K Nagpal, Ambassador of India to Venezuela & H.E. Mr M Sevala Naik, High Commissioner of India to Jamaica and introduced Muez Hest to them as one of the leading technology providers and turnkey plant & machinery suppliers in the field of Oils & Fats and Oleochemicals. Mr Rajiv Arora also expressed the desire to expand the base of setting up projects in Latin American countries and requested the Ambassadors & the High Commissioners to provide list of companies based in the respective countries, so that they could be approached for potential business opportunities, in our field of our specialization.
