Glycerin Distillation Plant
The glyceric solutions from the splitting with preconcentration process may contain up to 15 parts per 25 of glycerol. They are distilled in Packed Columns where impurities (both large, granulated and dissolved) are separated and pure glycerine is distilled off.
In the event that the salt content in the glycerine is high a salt squeezing apparatus reduces the heavy fractions which can be purified further, made use of elsewhere (example agriculture) or discarded.
The final product which is a yellowish hue is bleached with activated fixed bed carbon to conform with pharmaceuticals directives.
